WellSpan has broken ground on a comprehensive medical campus aimed at offering a high-quality healthcare option in the USA.

The new campus will feature a hospital, a surgery centre, and a medical office building offering both primary and speciality care.
The hospital will feature an emergency department and 10 inpatient beds, designed with a more compact and accessible layout than traditional hospitals. It is one of three new facilities WellSpan is planning to develop over the next two years, with additional locations near Shrewsbury and in Newberry Township.
Adjacent to the hospital, a cutting-edge ambulatory surgery centre and medical office building will be constructed, featuring four operating rooms and a full range of diagnostic services, including imaging and laboratory capabilities.
The facility will handle common surgeries such as hernia repairs, tumour removals, biopsies, and cosmetic procedures. The enhanced access to care and comprehensive services in a compact setting are expected to significantly improve the patient experience.
The campus will also house expanded primary care and speciality services, including neuroscience and plastic surgery, complementing the existing cardiology, ENT, and urology services.
The facility set to open in late 2025, will operate around the clock, every day of the year.
